san francisco, 70 in half moon bay, 88 and san jose. 90 in napa. so we are looking at a heat in the san francisco along the peninsula into the south bay. those temperatures running unusually warm and moving up into the 80's and 90's again by tomorrow afternoon and again on friday. in fact, this will probably be the peak of the heat on thursday and friday as these temperatures are going to soar around the bay area with those offshore winds. the good news is fire danger, kind of pulling back a little bit. we have some gusty offshore winds last night, but the winds have backed off a little bit, even though they're offshore and fairly dry. still not temperatures around the bay area for tomorrow. looking at 88 degrees in downtown san francisco. 92 and hot in hayward. 95 in fremont and 91 redwood city temperatures staying pretty toasty over the next couple days. we'll let you know whether it's going to cool down. coming up in a few minutes. >> all right, lars, meanwhile, fire crews are conducting their second day of controlled burns here. you may see smoke in or near in nevado and the northern part of san or fell places like terra linda. mau

san francisco for fleet week, a rather hot and dry. you can see as staff is under a heat advisory through tomorrow night all the way down the peninsula, south bay up the east bay shoreline, too, and easy to see why temperatures in the 80's to 90's for your daytime highs this afternoon in the city of san francisco as well as up and down highway one daly city all the way up to 91 degrees yesterday. half moon bay. you broke a record getting up to 90 degrees. your hottest day. i'm out there yesterday. now temperatures in the south bay also well into the 90's. san jose 94 degrees today. fremont hayward up through oakland in the 90's as well with livermore 94 in oakland at 90 degrees. not so often that you see those 2 cities having about the same number, antioch in vacaville, mellowed id's while pittsburgh in vallejo 89 degrees, each getting your lookahead. what we have tomorrow is still a daytime high in the 90's all across the board. but we really cool things off after that. by sunday, you can see that some of coastal areas are actually returning to the 60's. that's going to be cool. stay this weekend. and then next week getting even coole
