that is one requirement in the new tentative agreement between the san francisco teachers union and theachers say they will go back if the city is in the red tier and all educators have been vaccinated. teacher vaccinations have not started in san francisco and the city is in the purple tier. but the union says this is a path to reopening. >> that's true in the red tier. if the county gets the orange tier we do not require that vaccines be available to teachers. so we are not requiring that people who will be still continuing to teach from home be vaccinated to be clear. so it will be the teachers who will be returning to classrooms. >> reporter: this tentative agreement still needs to be voted on by the school board. it comes after the city of san francisco sued the district last week saying the district needs a reopening plan. san francisco is still busy vaccinating its over 75 population and health care workers so they haven't moved down to that lower tier yet. they do have mass vaccine sites open and ready to serve. officials say the issue is they need more supply. reporting live fr
