i'm a third generation san franciscoian 20 year resident of south beach and president of the hoa port side and i have two kids 4th generation san franciscoians i'm here for address the need for cbd everybody knows how hot the real estate market is and the for games at night. but there are high pr file that brought residence -- that are neighborhood serving are still having a tough time it's because it's not a welcoming atmosphere. when the sun goes down people don't want to park cars there they get broken into the streets are dirty people go to other parts of the city from there to go out to dinner to shop. there needs to be a cbd to form a neighborhood identity and provide some mechanism and forum to address the kind of issues that a village if you will needs to address. currently everybody lives in isolated islands in the sty that's not how you build a neighborhood the cbd notes not to exist for mechanical issues to clean the streets and the rest it needs to be the local you know village meeting place if you will for issues. so again really support the creation of the cbd i think it

too many san franciscoians are losing their homes. watching new redevelopment go.m chance of being able to afford the units that are going up. changing these practices within our affordable housing policies can help our neighborhoods stay more vibrant, more culturally relevant and hopefully, allow for san san franciscans -- san franciscans to have access. . i'm really excited about it and i'm glad it's finally moving forward through this board of supervisors. two other things colleagues, this weekend we are fortunate to have two of i believe, best festivals happening in my district in san francisco. this saturday will be the san francisco, the 65th annual san francisco june teenth festival. it's like a community reunion where a lot of san franciscans sadly who have been displaced come back. it's like a big family reunion. i hope members of the public both new community members and old will join us this saturday to celebrate the juneteenth festival. the other festival is the haig street festival. which is next sunday j une 14th. i said this weekend, my apology from

p you could comment we want the city ultimately to be providing recycled water to san franciscoians i know the west side plan is water recycling plant is moving forward. the east side plant for the cohen's district is a little bit further off. i want to get your take on what we can expect to see in the future. >> so we are supervisor weiner mentioned san francisco looked at the east side and conducted use facilities about building a plant on the east side of san francisco for toilet flushing for buildings whereas the west side is for irrigation in the puc is coordinating with waste water enterprise who are activitily in the water sewer system plant. who are working to upgrade an old aging infrastructure the proposal for the water recycled treatment plant would be located in the south east treatment plant as you can imagine we need to keep the plant running while doing modification to sewer system space is limited so we're working closely with the sewer system program anticipating when we do move forward with construction it would probably be around 2026 there is a lot of moving parts
