san jose 64. oakland 60. santa rosa 57. san francisco 58. tomorrow night countdown to gold broadcast from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. so much going on in san francisco tomorrow and the weather will cooperate. mostly cloudy during that hour. 52 degrees in san francisco tomorrow. we had 11 different storm system hits us directly. that storm track right into the bay area. this is storm number 12 hitting california but look at that race of clouds and the red color you see there is a fast- moving jet stream. the fastest jet stream support the winds that are the strongest just to our north. far northern california the northern sierra but not the bay area. we are just receiving scattered showers. that's the storm that's out there right now. futurecast will paint a picture with, yes, some showers around overnight into tomorrow morning. but it's light. light rain at most. and if you are lucky you will get an additional tenth of an inch of rainfall. we'll stay cloudy tomorrow through the evening. we are mainly cloudy and then watch this. on sunday, now the rain

a live look at downtown san jose. the bay area is expecting a line of storms all this week and the meteorologist rob may edda to t. explain. >> things still dry. golden gate bridge right now 45 degrees. one thing the increasing clouds should do is keep the temperatures up in the upper 30s and 40s in the bay area. you can see we have a little bit of light rain on the marin county coastline. most of the substantial showers still offshore. tomorrow morning, 7:00 north of the golden glai gate bridge that's where the rain will start and then spread southward. lunchtime tomorrow, mostly cloudy skies. right there by noon you are starting to see moderate rain approach the coast. this is the first of a few systems coming in where most of the bay area on the coastal hill tops could get close to an inch of rain. noticeably less in the trivalley and san jose. if we don't get a lot of rain out of this system notice as we take you out further in the pacific we have got three storms to choose from coming in over the next five days.

it's building a new campus in san jose. company just got the green light to construct a massive complex in the city's north side near mineta international airport. kpix 5's kiet do is in san jose at the lot that's getting the apple touch. >>> reporter: the scale of this project just makes you go, wow! in this empty lot, imagine up to 20,000 employees working on a campus with more than 4 million square feet. the city of san jose says apple is in a league of its own. now, the city council voted unanimously last night to approve apple's plans to move into an 86-acre lot near highway 101 and 87 along first street and component drive. if you have ever been by here you know an empty lot of this size in a prime location is rare in sillicon valley. as part of the agreement, apple can grow and develop the site for the next 15 years. and if it actually hits that number of 4.15 million square feet it will make this campus bigger than its current headquarters in cupertino. as part of the deal, apple will pay millions of dollars in fees

live in north san jose, kiet do, kpix 5. >>> we have a problem on highway 80 over in san pablo.here's liza battalones with more. >> we have this accident blocking multiple lanes. chp has issued a "sig alert" warning commuters of long delays. they will be shut down for 30 minutes, east 80 approaching san pablo dam road. a big rig and three cars blocking lanes with just two lanes open. traffic is very slow. it is affecting traffic in both directions. more of a looky-loo factor in the westbound direction westbound 80 jammed up solid below 35 miles per hour from at least highway 4. it stays heavy beyond the accident scene. as you make your way through the berkeley and emeryville area, meantime there's a jackknifed big rig accident on highway 92. this will affect so many drivers that normally take 92 to get out of half moon bay. it's shut down right now eastbound. crews are working with this jackknifed big rig again. this is east 92 before skyline. so folks have to take skyline to 84 woodside road to get out of half moon bay towards the sillicon valley or take 1 towards pacifica towa

san jose, santa clara not as bad, moderate to steady rain. there is more offshore, and you can see on these last few images, from san francisco south of santa cruz, heavy rains picking up toward santa cruz. a breezy and windy day, oakland reporting wind gusts up to 37, and this front is approaching, and it is bringing in heavy rain. we have a flood advisory until 9:45 am. this will get better this afternoon. we are getting into the window, and it will get worse.>>> i had seen the number of accidents spiking over the last few minutes, and when it rains, that tends to happen. looking at the flooding, this is near the john daly exit on 280, they had to clear the storm drains, and you can see the traffic is going to be slow. the man is standing in water here, and that happens a lot. they had cleared it out and moved through, but the traffic is slow. we have problems in oakland in the east bay, flooding near 580 at the lakeshore exit. traffic backed up as far back as highway 13 heading west, and a crash is here at the same time. things are getting

we do have temperatures now right at about 41 degrees in san jose. 45 in oakland and san francisco and napa it is 38 degrees. so, cool as we warm up and throughout the day. we're looking at highs in the mid up toer 50s and more clouds but the sun every now and then will peek out, especially starting out the day and more clouds moving in tonight as this storm system moves in. and there's another one right behind that that will get us started for the workweek with some wet weather. as we go into tonight, this is the way it plays out. we go through the 7:00, 8:00, 9:00 hour with not a lot going on except for the mist and drizzle in some of the coastal areas and then tonight as you go out for dinner or heading back, we'll start to see that rain moving in. now, most of this looks to fizzle as it approaches the south bay. some of the heavier rain exed for the north bay, but still some pretty good amounts and maybe just enough for you to hear that rain tapping on the window as you sleep later tonight. rainfall totals look to be close to a tenth of an inch i

once the low fog and rain breaks up, highs close to 60 in san jose and 50s for san francisco. for the north bay, temperatures climbing to the upper 50s for livermore and walnut creek. this changes and followed by another storm that will form in the base of that trough as we get into the weekend. first, the storm has a lot of wind offshore. look at the waves coming towards our coast, thursday and friday out at pacifica for the last week, it seems like, watching beach erosion and big waves. another thursday and friday and the same time frame, thursday night and friday morning, next storm arrives off and on for friday and into the start of the weekend before we see another change in the forecast. another storm, the third in the series and we see similar rain totals we saw today. an inch to 2 inches for hill top locations around the bay area and local lly higher amounts in the santa cruz valley. this is the weekend forecast. the second half of the weekend is trending drier. we see high pressure building in, not a strong ridge but should take most of the rain and send it off to the
