she was the youngest person ever elected to the san mateo county board of supervisors. the sisters of monterrosa are calling out california attorney general rob bonta. >> for declining to pursue criminal charges in their brothers death. the 22 year-old was shot and killed outside of a walgreens store in june of 2020. police say that the officer miss took a hammer in monterrosa's pocket for a gun. the california doj picked up the case to see there was enough evidence to charge the officer with a crime and on tuesday we learned that no charges will be filed. want to his family saying in a statement they feel that justice was denied. writing in part, quote, this decision makes clear that the california doj will not hold officers accountable and we'll continue to allow them to kill without consequences. the justice was denied. and that's the bottom line. the family is taking legal action against the city and the police officer who fatally shot monterrosa through a federal civil rights lawsuit. >> bay area man was among 6 wrongfully detained u.s. citizens released by venezue

the role it may have played in a deadly crash in the peninsula and a fixture of the san mateo county coastline will undergo some repairs when pescadero pigeon point lighthouse is expected to welcome back visitors and a dense fog advisory will be in effect tonight and tomorrow morning for much of the bay area. >> we'll look at the extent of that and the rain that is headed your way welcome back, visitors. the pigeon point lighthouse in pescadero was first lit back in 1872, and for years it lit up the waters around san mateo county. but that lighthouse was closed in 2001 and fell into disarray. but now a moraga contractor has been awarded the $16 million contract to repair much of that structure. construction is set to begin in january, and is expected to take two years. well, general motors autonomous car company cruze has been ordered to testify by state regulators after one of its vehicles dragged a pedestrian in san francisco. according to the wall street journal, the state public utilities commission says when cruze told regulators about the october crash, the company left out tha
