evolved out of something that happened that you did in 1988 that was a small group for women in san matteo. >> it was called women's day, and it was for women back then who were re-emerging into the workforce after having left and had their children, and it kind of developed from there, and then i thought, "well, there's a need for women in the professions to have an opportunity like this," and that's how it happened. it didn't happen from a garage, but it happened around a coffee table in a friend's home. it is so much more than a conference now. it is an organization, and what makes it so terrific is these women who are members of the board, they do it out of wanting to pay it forward to women, and that's what it's really all about. it's all a volunteer with the exception of two staff. >> and for people who say, if this is a woman's thing, it really is not because any time you can lift a woman and a family, you affect the entire family. >> that's right. and there's a fair amount of men that come. >> a lot. >> we get speakers that are men, and yeah. no, it's -- but it is about lifting wom

then i also concur with supervisor ronen when you look at the map, you look that it gives actually san matteo, permission not to build and not to be dense. i think we're on the right track of what we're doing here in san francisco. we're building housing where other communities are not. and i have to mention that when we talk about transit-rich, there are some neighborhoods that are much more transit-rich than others. and my neighborhood happens to one of those neighborhoods that is not transit-rich. we do not have a rail. we do not have an underground. we have been fighting for better service in our neighborhood. and so to say that the transit-rich neighborhoods, i beg to differ that my neighborhood is transit-rich. i think we're overcapacitated, and so when i see something like this, this is really far reaching, it is overreaching the authority of the state, and my responsibility to my residents in district 1 is to actually listen to their concerns when development happens. and i really think that the work of what supervisor tang did around home sf was very thoughtful, it was collaborative.

taking you to santa matteo -- taking you to san mateo over the next few days, temperatures continue to fall around 64 on thursday, 63 coming up on friday. barely getting about 60 degrees over the weekend. here is the reason for all of this, it does not look terribly impressive, not stormy weather or widespread rainfall, but this counterclockwise swirl has cold air above it which is making its way into the area. due to its location it's going to feed a more southwest flow of air. it's adding up to cooler weather and by the we can cloudier weather in the afternoon. fog more widespread, back to the coastline in the afternoon. thursday to friday the fog is pushing into the central valley down the morgan hill and gilroy. cloudy on friday morning. in the afternoon, not that sunny in the north bay. we remain cooler than average through the weekend. next week, another curveball for mother nature. we get more mild and dry next week. foggy mornings continue over the next couple of days. below average for the next five days beginning tomorrow. only the far north bay has a shower chance. 60s and 7
