>> we've got the camera up again from san rafael, smoke plumes stretching up a couple thousand feet, visible from the north bay in most directions and a lot of people in the north bay as far south as san rafael being able to smell that smoke. we'll get a look at the location of the fire again and the current temperature ranging in the 90s. it is very hot, low humidity, down to about 25%. winds gusting to 15 miles per hour, so just like we've heard from the firefighters over the past 24 hours, it is so dry out here, a lot of this brush will ignite just as quick as if you lit a piece of paper on fire. now here's the thing making it so erratic. what we're finding on the wind maps, we have one source of rain coming out of the northeast, 5 to 10, then on the southern side of the fire, winds coming out of the southwest 5 to 10 miles per hour. really, wind moving in all different directions, making it highly unpredictable. we're going to continue to track these conditions and what will be gusty winds for the rest of the week coming up in that forecast. >> jeff, see you shortly. let's go bac

san rafael 58.rm as this morning but another rough night for sleeping because typically we drop down to the low to mid-50s tonight. we won't be sunny or dry tomorrow. still an increase in humidity and cloud cover because of a big ridge of high pressure and where it is located because winds flow clockwise around a ridge so if it's down to our south and east it will literally pull up some of that tropical moisture down in baja, california and arizona, pouring in scottsdale and vegas getting rain. we haven't seen the rain and we have seen the cloud cover. we'll see it again tomorrow the flow of air from the south and east with us for one more day. by thursday, same ridge but it moves off to the west giving us more west-to-east flow, an onshore flow that will knock down temperatures. we are getting more of the ocean influence shoving the tropical moisture in a different direction. weekend looks nice. the weather pattern is mild to warm for the next several days but not hot. i don't see any widespread tr
