sanjay gupta has been looking at this.right outside of the studio when i was grilling you on this. what's your take on this? >> i think it's a very big deal. i think this is a big study. it's a good study. this has been a divisive issue within medicine for some time. i get this question all the time. why are peanut allergies going up? the answer has changed as a result of this study. these were high-risk children. children who already had allergies. so there was a concern about these children. they did skin tests on them so a kid with a catastrophic reaction was eliminated from the study. kids who had sensitivity were in the study. half the group got bepeanuts an others did not. as young as 4 months an age they got an extract. 14 out 2 out of 100. you don't see data like this. sevenfold different between the two groups. >> that's the thing. the results here are staggering which begs the question, how could we not know this if it's that obvious in a simple study? you can't send a peanut within 100 miles of your kids' school
