old santa cruz highway.e had a noninjury crash. the tow truck just arrived on scene a couple of minutes ago so hopefully they will begin to clear it soon. traffic is still backed up to at least idylwild. that's according to larry with the kcbs phone force. at the bay bridge toll plaza, the metering lights as you can see by a view of this camera and all the traffic, the metering lights are turned on. they were turned on a little later than normal, just before 6:30. so the backup extends just beyond the west grand overcrossing. it is also starting to get a little slow right now from the incline to the "s" curve but nothing too bad so far. you also notice that drive time 19 minutes on westbound 80 from the carquinez bridge to the maze. so no big problems right now if you are heading towards the bay bridge toll plaza and using the eastshore freeway. we were going to show you a live traffic shot of cars heading past ashby where it actually looks good. highway 4 usual bottleneck from a street to somersville road.
