check this out, 1 1/2 of rain there and over an inch of rain in santa rosa. napa, almost an inch of rain there. as we move down to san francisco, over an inch for most of the city. while we are continuing to measure more of those downpours and for the peninsula, in shark park, 1 1/4 inches and san car low, an inch there. looking at 3/4 of an inch in portola valley. as we head to the south bay, downtown san jose, 1/2 an inch. this is more rain than we've had all season long in most of the bay area. we continue to measure more rain, also for the east bay, we we are getting 1 1/4 inch in the berkeley hills. dublin, an inch of rain there, and livermore 3/4 of an inch. we also have the flash flood watch that will be in effect for the burn scar areas as we continue to add more rain to these totals. most likely we could see in some of the burn scar areas debris flows and mudslides as we possibly could get 2 to 4 inch office rain in those areas. we'll talk more about the rain and the batch of heavy rain approaching the bay area within the next hour, that's coming up

santa rosa, 32. in the city, a beautiful start. there is rain on the way. not that we could not use him. we will get it tonight. mostly cloudy skies by this afternoon. high clouds in advance of this cold front will give us the first hint of what is on the way. if you look at the kpix5 high definition doppler, you can see that already, rain is lighting up. it will take a while to get here. it is about 400 miles offshore. rain will spread south later in the day today. and by that i really mean tonight. most of the bay area will get wet overnight tonight. convenient rain in that respect. when it rains, it will port in marin and sonoma county. here is 9:00 p.m. around santa rosa. some pretty good cells on the way. so there is a sunny start. but it will get wet late in the day. it will take until tomorrow morning at 5:00 a.m. monday for it to reach the south bay. by then, not much will be left. by tuesday, we begin to clear out before the next system begins to show itself on wednesday. that is when the next system is coming in. that is later in the day wednesday
