you can see santa rosa gusting to 24 miles an hour.ories, but we could still have winds around 30 to maybe 40 miles an hour in the forecast. here's our live camera checking out the golden gate bridge for tonight, and no major downpours to talk about in this camera shot. right now. it's actually pretty mild. so we talked about the high snow levels in the sierra. it's the same weather pattern. we have mild temperatures here in the bay area. those readings in the 50s and the 60s. so more rain on the way. we have been watching this atmospheric river form in the pacific. it's kind of going to wobble up and down. so as it wobbles to the north tomorrow, that means more rain up in the north bay, then wobbles to the south later monday and tuesday. that means more rain for the entire region. this is 7:00 tomorrow morning. the possibility of some scattered rain showers. notice the focus though is up in the north bay, especially sonoma county. this is sunday, 1 p.m. and then as we take this into monday, look at this band coming on board here. and

we have already gotten an inch of rain in santa rosa. not bad.ecause we had our dry january, the ground now can absorb all of this pretty easily. minor roadway flooding but that is not coming back this weekend. until we get to early nec week. we haven't gotten a whole lot right here. when we get to the tuesday storm, localized road way, ponding of water. minor issues could become a concern anywhere on this map in green. let's look at what we have now in terms of what the radar looks like. this is the right now last hour. a few showers moving through the north bay. let's clear this off. what we will look at is what the forecast model shows us from now all the way through tomorrow and monday. 36 hours you will see. a chance of rain, on again off again. hit and miss, scattered shower. then, we get to the next storm. that is behind me. so this is what we were looking at a few moments ago. it is really instructive to look at the pattern on here. what we saw from now until this point was splotchy hit and miss showers, this is an organized line. i'm wal

, santa rosa, napa, over a half an inch of rainfall. so in some areas, yeah, if you get a lot of rain in a short amount of time, it will lead to those puddles and maybe some ponding on the roadways. as janet mentioned, san francisco and oakland, nearly a quarter of an inch, fremont 0.20 and not much in san jose, redwood city, and in concord. a flood watch issued for the entire bay area all the way through the weekend until 10 p.m. sunday. lots to be concerned with street flooding, excessive runoff, and a big rise on the creeks and the streams. here's a look at the projections. we're taking this out into the weekend and into next week through wednesday, and these numbers could really be adding up a few spots could be approaching ten inches for the north bay coastal hills, the south bay even getting up there as well, possibly over two inches. so this is not just a little bit of rain. look at this moisture track moving in from hawaii here and stretching across the pacific and moving into the bay area right now. as you can see, we have some

and these numbers, they're up in the up there in the north bay for napa and santa rosa. over half an inch of rain. san francisco 0.30. oakland 0.26 and a few hundredths of an inch for concord, redwood city and in san jose. a flood watch is in place right now until 10 p.m. on sunday for the entire bay area. so the weather service is concerned that there will be possibly too much rain and that could turn into a flood advisory or maybe a flood warning showing you this, the radar imagery and not a ton of coverage right now in the bay area, but still some scattered rain as we can show you right now closer to bodega bay and montreal, and then shifting the maps out toward the east bay right around san ramon, livermore, also the tracy area, and then back to the maps out here. as you can see in the pacific, there is the moisture plume developing. that's a lot of just a lot of moisture directed right toward the bay area coastline. and that will lead to increasing rainfall rates. also, winds will be a factor right now. winds are not too bad, but these numbers will be going up tomor

so okay, so santa rosa with 3800 napa 3200, concord 1400 and san jose with five hundredths of an inch. we'll take you to the radar. we do have some widespread coverage of rain, although it's light to moderate as we zoom in and get you a closer look. here you can see over the east bay. we're getting some downpours here, slowing it down on the commute tonight on five 8680. also on 880. we'll track some of this. we know this is a real busy corridor back here towards the east bay from hayward, all the way over to livermore. we're going to keep with that rainfall here through 553 tonight. and more of those rain chances here at 7:00 and through 11 p.m. but the main event we're really targeting towards this weekend is going to get here by tomorrow morning. and that's going to be some widespread heavy rainfall for us. so let's look at this whole thing another way. and you can see this list we put together here with that atmospheric river. wide ranging totals a half to three inches. so we will be watching the creeks and streams for possibly some quick rises on those. the sierra 1 to 2ft at 700

santa rosa, look at everybody else.o half an inch of rain from the city to the south where we haven't got much measurable rain in san jose or livermore. everyone is included in a flood watch and that expires tomorrow night at 10:00 p.m. and, certainly will be replaced with the next flood watch which is really the one to pay attention to. that is the one which will take into account the next series of rainmakers coming our way for early in the week. let's get into that. i want to show you why it's a little more of a concern. when we look at what radar has looked like over the course of the last hour, we have a few showers coming across the north bay. there's not a lot to this, but a few showers nonetheless that are persisting. it's really what happens for the next 24, 36 hours or so. throughout tomorrow, there's a chance for a shower. it won't be super impressive. i will take radar off and i'll show it futurecast looks like. through that period and we will keep your eye on the timestamp on the bottom. that was all sunday

again an additional inch and a half on top of the inch that has already fallen across santa rosa, sanael. that's going to be bringing the totals to 2-inches across the weekend. san jose you will be around a quarter of an inch and above a half of an inch. an staying pretty quiet throughout the day sunday. maybe across our far north bay communities. it's not until monday afternoon and evening that the nose of the atmospheric river. the nose of that moisture and fire hose begin to push further south. look at this monday evening and into early tuesday morning. widespread rainfall. we could be potentially seeing upwards of two inches for places like san jose, upwards of four to six inches in the highest elevations of the santa cruz mountains and up across our north bay communities. a lot of rain is under way. this isn't likely going to arrive until monday afternoon and evening into early tuesday morning. that's when the most widespread activity will be arriving. but still everyone else suggests grabbing an umbrella and just keeping it handy throughout the next several days. by the time we

any where from an inch or more from the north bay to a little bit half of an inch for napa and santa rosa and our northern communities. here in oakland a little bit over .3 of an inch. you were lucky to get a couple .01 -f o -- .01 of an inch. that's why the northern community is is has gotten the most of the activity. you can see the north of the loop continuing to make its way over northern california. as it does so later this afternoon that's when we are expecting the bulk of this activity. then quieting out by later today and into early tomorrow. so it's kind of going to be waves of rain that are on the way. it's not going to be a one rain all day scenario. but it's going to kind of continue to see these drizzly conditions over the next 24 hours. i will let you know though, exactly when we're going to be seeing a lot quieter weather and another wave of rain that was under way. this rain does create some flooding issues especially for the north bay that has already seen an inch. >> there's some businesses in san francisco that just seem to flood over and over again. part of the mission

santa rosa temper on said just under at 2 inches of rain and under an inch of rain in san francisco, a quarter of an inch in oakland and what rate you may be thinking if you're in san jose. and here's that system coming the hawaiian islands. that atmospheric river set up. it will be tapping into that subtropical moisture at this hour. we're seeing some light showers pass through. here's that future cast model overnight at tonight. you can see most of that activity is staying to the north bay and the overnight hours as the 06:00am. now, maybe some rain moving through most of the north bay approaching the golden gate heavy at times depending where you are and unsettled morning till your afternoon lunchtime and into dinner time. so we could see, you know, as you can see, scattered showers really tracking to the north. but just bring that umbrella handy. keep that umbrella handy and we are under a flood watch in an advisory through tomorrow for the entire bay area. temperatures, though, overnight, it looks like we'll have some mild temperatures in the 50's. so yeah. busy weather here in

. >> lieutenant anderson did a career fair at santa rosa junior college and there's also a lot of community fairs that have been going on throughout the city, especially in chinatown at the centers where a lot of our emt is from station 49 and paramedics are contributing to the communities community centers by offering treatment not treatment but education on first aid. >> and they're demonstrating this lifeline program that is getting their recommendations for treatment, their information from their doctors and their medications. and it's been translated in five different languages and they're distributing that as well. the committee that's doing that is the core committee again with the ems division and we have members of ems that are voluntarily going out there and educating the public mission high school fire, ems this was in the fall of 2024. again, you can see here in the pictures we have a student on the top left hand corner trying on our turnout uniforms. we're also talking about safety firefighter survival. there's a student in the middle top middle picture with the circular saw. s
