( james ) thanks ( james ) several people had to be rescued from flood waters in the northbay during tuesday's storms. crews were out in the rain and cold from the early hours of the morning... well into the night. fire officials say they got 6 rescue calls tuesday morning alone. several rescue crew members went into the water in west santa rosa for reports of stranded drivers in flood waters near sanford road. but no drivers were found. while searching there --- they got another call of stranded drivers near green vally road. that's where police say a driver ignored flooding signs and baricades... and tried to wade through the high water. but got stranded. they were successfully rescued. ( darya ) the napa river is also expected to flood today....and city officials are urging residents to monitor weather conditions for safety.( james ) kron 4's yoli aceves is joining us now live in yountville with what residents are waking up to... kron 4's sara stinson is joining us now live with the latest. sara. at c-h-p got a call just after four this morning of someone driving southbound in the northbound lanes on highway one in pacifica. as officers were on the way to the scene - they got a call of a head on crash involving a chevy silverado and prius at clarenon road.the chevy was driving northbound when a person driving a prius struck them headon.the man believed to be 20-30 years old was a passenger in the prius and was not wearing a seatbelt - he was ejected from the car.a woman also believed to be 20-30 years old was a front passenger in the prius and died on scene. she was wearing a seat belt.the wrongway driver is a man 20-30 years old - believed to have been not wearing a seat belt - transported to the hospital - he's in critical condition right now.there was two men in the chevy they were transported to s-f general with non--life threatening injuries. it's still unclear what on ramp the wrongway driver got onto the highway. c-h-p is still investigating the crash.listen to c-h-p ex

kron 4's sara stinson has the story. in front of the taco bell on in front of the admiral callaghan lane you can see candles burning put out by family of the man who was shot and killed here by police.an employee called 9-1-1 saturday night around 10:30 reporting a man in a silver mercedes was parked in the drive thru line was slumped over the drivers seat.police officers responded to check on the welfare of the driver...police say as they approached the car the man was unresponsive and had a handgun on his lap.the car was was locked and the transmission was in drive.the man suddenly came to - officers told him to keep his hands visible - police say that's when he quickly reached for the handgun on his lap.officers say they feared fo their life so they discharged their weapons at the driver.police called for medical assistance, but the man died on scene. officers found a loaded handgun in the car. the next morning friends of the man killed stood over shattered glass in shock of what happened...they had no words to share
