saturday afternoon, looks mild. i think we'll be in the low 60s tomorrow or saturday afternoon, excuse me. showers will definitely be around ahead of a cold front. sunday looks good. just cooler and breezy with temperatures on sunday back in the 50s. right now we've got a couple of 30s and 40s mainly in the mountains. gaithersburg is 48. hagerstown is 49. just about everybody else in the low to mid-50s right now with that 54 here in washington. you look at our weather camera, a beautiful day right now. 54. it's strange reporting mostly cloudy because if anything, just high thin clouds. we look clear out there. north winds are 14. humidity only 29%. so the air nice and dry. the next thing we're watching, that's going on in the gulf of mexico. there's a lot of the gulf here. some of it has been coming up through east texas back through arkansas. look at the clusters of thunderstorms off the louisiana and mississippi coast all tracking off towards the north. we've got the threat for maybe an inch, inch and a half even

it will be warmer for today and pretty warm friday and saturday especially on saturday. borderline hot for this time of year. it is around 80 degrees. showers on sunday mainly for the north bay. it is not a big deal. it is north of the bay area. we start out with patchy fog. more sunshine this afternoon and temperatures in the 60s. lots of 70s out there. as we take a closer look there it remains north of the bay area. this will really warm things up for friday and saturday. as i mentioned high clouds moving in on top of that high. it won't be completely clear out there. a few high clouds moving into the region. you'll notice into friday still scattered overcast out there throughout the day. same thing into saturday. it could be a filtered sunshine effect. you'll notice the rain line up. look what happens into sunday. this approaches the bay area. it looks like the best chance would be up in the north bay. we'll keep an eye on that. that's kind of a new change to the forecast. temperatures this afternoon mainly in the upper 60s to the 70s. look at all of these 70s showing

finally tapering off by late saturday afternoon and saturday evening. maybe just a lingering sprinkle by then. so saturday a wet day with temperatures though in the afternoon in to the low to mid-60s. sun back sunday. highs in the upper 50s. back to work and school monday with sunshine and high near 60. feast your eyes on the seven day outlook. beautiful weather tuesday, wednesday, thursday. p highs near 60 each day. melissa here now looking at that big backup on 270. >>> again we're talking about 270 south bondbound through sger germantown. 3 1/2 mile backups because of the earlier crash. take 355 thfd 55 instead. it really is jammed. these are just linger backups. branch avenue southeast closed from pennsylvania avenue to alabama. we have a pole down there because of an accident. wide look at things overall beltway looking quite good. we like to see that. 66 east of compton road have a disabled truck off to the right. doesn't seem to be slowing things down too many here at all. 95 north slow through dale city. 23 miles per hour. and th back up again.
