scanlon: when my children were small there was a huge project at the elementary school it was supposed to be completed by labor day but as a summer-- waned we got concerned it would be finished and school would not start on time so we went to the administration and we were told don't worry everything is fine but they didn't want to listen to our concerns so one weekend i grabbed the camera and i climbed over the construction site i'm sure it was trespassing but what i found was a school that would not be ready for another six months so i went ahead to the next school board i was working on the board and that we had other projects we completed on time and on budget with the school lunch program to instituted quality controls to balance our budget while dealing with the massive retention crisis forced upon the local districts at the state legislature. my professional life a civil rights attorney the last 35 years for the last 15 i have led the legal services program at a national law firm where it has been my privilege to supervise the donation of nearly a quarter of a billion dollars fo
