in schellville joey jorda, ktvu, fox two news. >> santa cruz officials say they hope to reopen two of their beaches as soon as tomorrow, after a portion of the wharf collapsed earlier this week, sending tons of debris into the ocean and onto the shore. today, city officials gave an update on the city's damaged wharf. officials there saying that the wharf will not reopen until the city is sure it is safe. meantime, business owners nearby say they're losing money with each passing day. >> our employees are having a hard time. yeah, that's. you know, we're like family. after a while, city officials say upwards of 2 million people visit the wharf each year. >> they are now looking at ways to ease the financial impacts to those businesses and their staff. >> a marin county school district is paying $17.5 million to settle sex abuse lawsuits filed by four former students. the former students accused tamalpais high school of failing to protect them from their tennis coach, normandie burgos, and ignoring evidence of predatory behavior. burgos was eventually convicted of molestation and senten
