abc 7 news reporter sergio quintana is live at newark police with the story. sergio? >> reporter: eric, newark detectives tonight are not releasing many details about the victim or of their ongoing investigation, but we do know they may have some very valuable information thanks to some surveillance cameras nearby businesses. the family of the victim watched as the alameda county coroner removed the body from the dark-colored bmw sedan. they would not talk to us about their loved one, but a neighbor of the shopping center says he may know the victim from a nearby barbershop. so you've seen the guy in the car before? you know him? >> no, i haven't seen him in the car. but i've seen him cutting hair over there. >> where does he cut hair? >> right over here. >> kj's. >> reporter: robert sanchez and his mother, laura, say they're shocked this happened here in broad daylight. newark police say the victim was spotted at about noon. he was shot in the head. detectives ruled out suicide pretty quickly because they did not find the gun in the car. >> the first officer arrived,
