this all stems from a report by the san francisco kroen kl that sf general had to ask the sheriff to search for spalding four times after she went missing on september 21st. spalding was found dead in a stairwell 17 days after she first went missing but her family has gotten few answers about what happened to her. sf general told us it is uncommon to request multiple searches for a person but a sheriff's smokes person would not answer any questions for us. so imagine the family shock and horror to find out that the sheriff can't even say that people in his charge did a search and not one, not two, but four searches. at this time the family and friends of lynne spalding are demanding that the leadership of the sheriff's department step in front of a camera and answer some basic questions. >> reporter: questions like were four searches done? were any searches done? if so, why did it take more than two week to found lynne spaldings body. they're working with law enforcement for answers about what happened here but again that sheriff's spoke persons us it will be a week or two before the

sf bay ferry gonna ride on a b.a.r.t. strike schedule today. we had seen stretches of long lines here this morning. but the lines go by pretty quick. the main reason, because sf bay ferry is on the b.a.r.t. strike schedule. these boats carry 180 depeing u size of the boat. the ferry system proved to be a popular option for bay area commuters during the strike. last friday, more than 7,000 riders took the ferry on sunday, 1900 people were on the boat. continue to run 12 boats today, running every 45 minutes because they say they want to help out the public and b.a.r.t. to adjust in getting back to a normal routine. >> we thought the public didn't know, b.a.r.t. was back on. my understanding is that b.a.r.t. is not at full strength. it will take until this afternoon. we thought it was best to provide the service that we could to the public. so we know they are there. they can get back to the cars. >> some people in line were actually typical b.a.r.t. riders. we spoke to some who rode the ferries. they say they don't care if the trains are running
