the money will come through sf city which will manage the installation of the wi-fi network from beginning to end, and our department of technology will accept that gift on behalf of the city and county of san francisco. and ultimately rec and park will be the host of the wi-fi network on their properties. and at the end of the day, it's going to be all san francisco residents who benefit from this. after going through all the necessary steps in city hall, the timing right now is that we believe installation will start in december of this year and should be completed by the spring of next year. so, this is going to be a project that will become reality very, very soon for the residents of san francisco. again, on a personal level, i'm incredibly proud to have led this project over the last two years. it's very gratifying that when you see an idea from the initial conversation to the project itself to now bring it to reality, to a city and park where i used to play ball in high school, to announce a project, this is something i've been incredibly proud to work on and something we started ye

all the things you do thank you sf city for snanlt helping. one of the things it sf city is it doing for us is anything who joins us on facebook or tweeter weight receive one dollar for each new follower for people who like us on facebook. we have 1 thousand volunteers if he each of you like us on facebook that's $1,000 we can ice toward dentures. i beg you i have 68 followers nobody knows any. some of you have thousands of followers so tweet today. you might ask why it's important. well each day people come in and say i need a pair of socks. small business last week got her wheelchair stolen. she walked in the doors and said that and we put it outthink tweeter and a couple of hours latter someone pulled it out of the garage. i promise you, we, use your resources. we have a lot of people to thank. who's here from the advanced english academy. we want to thank. there's some people (clapping) yeah. again thank you blue shield for being here from the beginning and other companies and project 20 and sf travel association u.s. bank and walgreen's.

as you know, i've been working really hard with organizations like sf city and code for america and others to make sure that we keep being leaders in technology and celebrating our status, but also implementing the programs to help us continue that very nice title we have, the innovation capital of the world. and i am here today in collaboration with board president david chiu and so many others from our committee on information technology, spur, our different various city departments, really trying to improve on what we've done already. back in 2009 then mayor gavin newsome to the light of all of us had introduced that we ought to really establish some guidelines to open up our city's data. and in the year later, the board, less legislation, the first open data legislation in san francisco that made us cutting edge throughout the country, the first to come out and say to everybody in the public, to people who wanted to create businesses, wanted to look at the city with kind of an open invitation to involve themselves with what the city had. and part of that really neat understanding was t

i think it's now $200,000 more than sf city. sf pride doesn't fall into that category and just because of the size of the grant that had been received to it. we are happy to take a look at non-profits at the request of board members and use of city standards to view them. the balance sheet errors that supervisor campos refers to come from our non-profit guidelines which are on the website. the requirement that there be a coastal indication plan and a current financial audit and these are all applied to the non-profits that we have contracts with. the last thing i would say is that our work is very dated. i took a look at it in the last couple of days, the approval of the last meetings that i read in the budget certainly signature re -- significant recruitment to the board in 1990, the 2011 posted on the website and they refer on their documents to have cleared the deficit and having cash -- on hand. i can confirm that we have not done any work or revisited any of their finances. i hope that's helpful. >> great, thank you very muc

sf city which is almost two years ago and delighted to bring the technology community in san francisco where the technology has never been before. we have over 6 hundred companies and we're delighted over a year and a half ago we were an interrogator in trying to get technology and innovation here in san francisco and that pilot has lead to this mobile devise solution we just saw which greg said it going to have police on the street 40 percent higher. so it's great that san francisco is a leading innovative city given the technology presence in our city. it's also nice to see the chief of police have and the attorney general have an app for that (laughter) >> so we're almost at the at the end. i wanted to speak to some acknowledges. to be a thirty plus year low in homicides on september 10th is unbelievable. the last time we were close is as heather fong closed out her time as the chief but there were 3 hundred more police officers here it was a year before our assistant district attorney would be elected and while everyone is going through the time it's through the corporation of that
