a west wind at 15 at sfo. delays there at 48 minutes due to the deck of cloudiness. we will stay socked in and experience below average temperatures again, a good 10 degrees below normal. the winter weather pattern continues. you can see typically something you would experience in january or february but instead it is may. behave a series of upper level disturbances rolling through the bay area. today we have a slight chance of a shower in the north bay. if all the dynamics come together, a slight chance of thunder north of the golden gate bridge. the gusty robust winds 10 to 20 will continue. the cool temperatures will continue all week long. this area of low pressure take as nose dive into the bay area prompting a chance of much needed rain on thursday. we will keep an eye on that. meanwhile temperatures across the state are mid 70s, 12 degrees below average. 50s in the greater lake tahoe area. we should be in the mid 70s in the trivalley, but instead only in the 50s. 50s and 60s along the bay. 67 for a high in downtown san jose. while we have the slight chance for

winds are dialing back out of the west at 16 san francisco through the peninsula to sfo. across the bay in concord the winds are now at 10. 6 in napa. this time yesterday we were recording wind gusts up to 43 miles per hour. that is not the case anymore. we do have the approaching area of low pressure that promises to bring us some rain after midnight tonight. we have a breezy area of low pressure moved through yesterday second one on tap providing us a chance of a thunderstorm tomorrow, as well. this is the next system upstream that also is advertising some rain chances by monday. so we could have a very active weather pattern coming up. 71 degrees at the state capital. 74 fresno. i want to talk you through the timing of this area of low pressure. we'll see increasing clouds as the day goes on. winds 10 to 15 but not as gusty as yesterday. looks like the best chances of rain by lunchtime from san francisco to the south. that area of low pressure is really moving in from the southern portion of the pacific ocean rather than the northern portion. most of the rain will be o

west of san francisco. here's the embarcadero. you can see the cloud cover there. when you have the clouds that low, we surely have delays at sfo on some arriving flights. so we'll keep you abreast of that. we are in the 50s across the board. the winds are 10 miles per hour out of the west in oakland. we'll kick up 10 to 20 during the afternoon hours and rotate southwest. so you can bank on an isolated light scattered shower. a lot of drizzle associated with that very deep marine layer. below average temperatures and this will continue through tomorrow again the low the center just due west of san francisco. we have the wraparound moisture associated with it. and so kind of scooting in through the back door are these showers. that's why there's only a chance and primarily in the eastern portion of our bay area. a lot of drizzle at the coast from that marine layer roughly about 3,000 feet deep. all this ejects to the east by the weekend. high pressure filters in. we have a dry memorial holiday. thunderstorms, boy, we had a lot of them yesterday in the high sierra. ditto today. 70s common across the interior section of the state.
