i do have a question regarding your relationship with sfpd. this is a board that has looked into the relationship between sfmta and sfpd. when you mention have written reports of how sfpd deals with this, could you talk about how the mta measures accountability with the sfpd, when it comes to pedestrian safety? it is it literally and written pieces of information that go back to your department, what are you thinking about to prove that? >> i cannot speak directly to the accountability peace. i have not been involved in that work. commissioner chiu: it strikes me there is little compatibility between the mta. >> we have met with the police department, we have -- they have requested that we work with them on developing a work plan to help us improve their pedestrian safety and outreach efforts. one thing we have been looking at, muddlinmodeling the bicycle program, going out to certain areas and giving people

we sat down and rewrote the sfpd policies. we are proud of the effort. it has served san francisco well for 20 years. chief casey sat in on the meetings with us. he asked why they were endorsing the changes because it put restrictions on intelligence. he said, we are a local police department. we are not the cia. that is still the case today. we need transparency. we've had transparency around these issues in san francisco consistently for a number of years. that has disappeared in recent months for reasons we cannot tell. it is very timely you are looking into these issues. i will briefly point out that the joint chairs and task force involves the assignment of police officers to the fbi. we are sending two officers full-time to work the fbi headquarters on joint terrorism activities. the police department has taken the position they cannot even tell us how many officers are assigned. they were publishing it. what is going on with the news, the misconduct, so i want to zero in on my personal issues with the sfpd. i went to jail three times for false charges. i had to pay bail twice. the third time, i just saw what happened. the case was dropped in 48 hours. i filed a citizen's complaint pertain to illegal searches, and disrespect for the black community. violence happened there at one point in time, violence is going to happen. there are people in that community that are not part of the violence. it is not all the police. the chosen few in the northern district is where i went to jail three times and i have never seen the inside of a court room. they were just dismissed by an attorney that read the propaganda and let me go. one of the times, i was beaten by the sheriffs. i was beaten prior to it being dismissed. i have filed a citizen's complaints pertaining to illegal searches. this was back in august of 2008 in which it was sustained, the allegation of unwarranted action for searching without cause. i have a document if anybody wants her to authenticate it. my point you is that there is wid
