numerous thunderstorms up toward lake shasta. wonderful news for the entire state of california. just about the entire state will receive rainfall by this time tomorrow. it will be a warm, cloudy and humid night. we don't do this that often in the bay area. 64 for a low in livermore. san rafael, 59 degrees. what's going on? this is tropical moisture. why do we call it tropical moisture? the tropics are where hurricanes happen. hurricane blanca was the second hurricane in the east pacific. this is what's left of it. hurricanes don't make it this far north. but sometimes the moisture from the remnant hurricane does. we had half an inch of rainfall in santa barbara today. nearly that much in los angeles. we're not going to tap in to that much tropical moisture but rain in june is kind of rare and it's going to happen tomorrow morning. window of opportunity midnight tonight until lunchtime tomorrow. showers are likely in the bay area. in the middle of that we find the morning commute where it's going to be a little bit sloppy out there. enjoy it while it's here because a big ridge of
