abc2 news sherrie johnson is live this morning with new information in this case. sherrie? >> reporter: charlie, a pennsylvania lawyer representing one of the alleged victims in the penn state child sex abuse case says his client is pursuing charges after hearing jerry sandusky's comments on a recent radio interview. sandusky is the former penn state assistant coach accused of sexually assaulting boys. the attorney says his client is feeling more comfortable about going forward. he says sandusky's comments have motivated alleged victims to testify against sandusky. meanwhile pennsylvania governor tom corbet is defending how he handled the case against sandusky. corbet was pennsylvania's attorney general when that investigation was handed over to the state about two years ago. corbet says they couldn't arrest sandusky immediately because it takes time to build a case. >> i have done child predator cases. we move them as quickly as we possibly can. there isn't any governor in recent memory to me in this state that has done more to protect children than me so if you think i de

we brought you the story last night at len and this morning sherrie -- 11 and this morning sherrie johnsonpolice are look whether alcohol may have play -- looking into whether alcohol may have played a role in the accident. >> reporter: here's what one mother had to say when she heard her daughter had been on board the bus. >> it was like what? where are you? she is like i don't know. we are in the woods in the dark and it's like oh, gosh. it was like the worst. >> reporter: police are arrested registered sex offender 45-year-old john kravats and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol after that bus crash in st. mary's county. this happened last night around 9:30. emergency crews arrived on the scene to find a 3-car collision involving the girl's basketball team from great mills high school. the school bus was returning to st. mary county after playing a game in virginia. the three-car collision happened at buds creek road and mechanicsville road. 15 students one adult and the bus driver went to the hospital for treatment. all students have been released from the hospital.

reporting live, sherrie johnson. >>> 900 homes are without gas in locust point. if all goes according to plan. bge could start restoring service beginning later tonight. linda so is live with what's going on involving some of the houses. linda. >> reporter: crews have been able to make a lot of progress here in the 1400 block of ford avenue. they have been here since monday causing the outage. next step this morning is they will be patching up the holes in the road and hopefully restoring gas service starting later tonight. the good news is about 100 homes and businesses are back online because they were rerouted to a different main. that is long antedous progress because they have to enter each home to turn off the gas. it's the only way to make sure the gas doesn't leak into the homes. last night bge crews had to start forcing their way into a hundred homes where they haven't been able to get in touch with the owner. a locksmith and police officer assisted once the repair to thebroken gas main is complete, workers have to go back to the homes to physically turn

sherry ly has more. >> reporter: the carjacker seems to follow the same m. o.. he strikes in the parking lot here at wheaton plaza. the latest case, a 77-year-old man who was carjacked just outside the target store. the suspect appears to go after the elderly in the middle of the day and he uses a box cutter or a large knife. yesterday's carjacking comes after i asimilar case on saturday in the giant parking lot. police say a 60-year-old man was forced into his car at knife point, drove to a atm to withdraw cash. the suspect then stole about $380 and drove to a gas station in northwest d.c. he left the victim unharmed and walk tied metro station to escape. the first carjacking took place the day before thanksgiving also at the giant in wheaton plaza. in that case, a suspect went after a 75-year-old man. police say the suspect armed with a knife made the victim take out money from atms n that case, the victim was not hurt either. the carjacker got dropped off at i metro station? d.c. police say he escaped by bus or metrorail. investigators say the suspect descrip
