in fact, snow the up over the sierra nevada. we've got some winter weather advisories up there right now. expecting maybe 2 to 5 inches of snow there. as you head further south, you're going to see some heavy rain, maybe some thunderstorms. so we've got some flood watches posted in these areas. as you can see you over in central valley, maybe as much as an inch per hour or so of rain and some of thunderstorms come overhead that could cause some flooding in those locations. meantime, though, low clouds and fog continue to move back on show. you see mid to high level clouds kind of rotating around pushing back toward the coastline. then as we head toward tomorrow morning, thick fog settling in giving way to some sunshine in the afternoon. but one of the big picture, we've got high pressure getting ready to barrel back in the bay area after that low kicks eastward out of town. i mean, see some sunshine, some really nice weather coming toward the end of summer in the beginning of fall, those temperatures likely to soar in the 80's i

thunderstorms over the sierra nevada. look at all those dozens upon dozens lightning strikes across the high country, kind of a dangerous day up there as well. with all that lightning. continuing. but that area of low pressure spinning off the coastline. that's gonna work its way all the way into southern california. that's actually some good news for them. going to bring some rain possibly on top of some of the fires. we're also watching for all that snow, though, across parts of the sierra nevada to mammoth lakes and further south as that, the unusually early storm system bringing some cold air and as much as 4 inches of snow flooding. it's a possibility as you head towards southern california. watch out for that, especially in those areas near east of san luis obispo and the burn areas to the north, watching out for the chance of some more thunderstorm activity there and some heavy rain on some burn scars. of course, that can give were rise to some flooding. some debris flows some messy conditions. so you can see the r

southbound 101 sierra point parkway, 5:00 in the morning.h, and five people ended up getting out of the car and running away in the area. well, they didn't get far because there's still, i guess, corralled in some area and there's a large police presence on southbound 101. it's causing a big backup from 280 in san francisco all the way into brisbane. i would avoid that area, and i would use 280 itself to get down to 380, even though you are going to see some slow traffic. that's what i would do in the east bay. it's been slow as well. on 80 on the richmond san rafael bridge approach and at the bay bridge toll plaza, we haven't talked a lot about the silicon valley because there hasn't been a lot to talk about, but it's getting more crowded. heading west over to sunnyvale and cupertino. but that's really kind of a routine backup. and the peninsula 101 and 280 in redwood city. and that area doesn't look all that slow. i do want to talk about the sunol grade, because we had a stalled vehicle, southbound 680 at mission boulevard, and suddenly 68
