when the silicon valley turkey trot started seven years ago, carl, head of the silicon valley leadership group was hoping for maybe 1,000 runners. he ended up with 2,000. 21,000 people are registered for the 7th annual turkey trot. that's a ten-fold increase in a short amount of time. that means the registration is full. if you're thinking of walking up and signing up, it's too late. if you are racing. 6:30 a.m., in about an hour and a half is where you going to be starting to pick up your bib ls outside the hp pavilion. they'll do that from 6:30 # to 8:00. at 7:50, the 10k run. then the 5k walk and run. this is all for charities. it's been about six years since the race started. they raised $1.5 million for three local charities. they're hoping to add to that chunk of the change. the santa clara county children's health initiative. if you are racing today, the organizers are asking you bring four canned goods of food to donate to charity. they're trying to reach 15,000 pounds today. scott, laura, happy thanksgiving by the way. >> thank you very much. >> and actually, it's pretty decent
