between the toll plaza and the skyway. kron 4's charles clifford has details. >> right, now the land around the eastern approach to the bay bridge is filled with caltrans construction yards and equipment. but when work on the new eastern span is finished, this peninsula of land will undergo a dramatic transformation this is an animation of what the same spot will eventually look like. the project is called gateway park. the park will feature stunning 360 degree views of the new bridge as well as the port of oakland. there will also be open space, a fishing pier, a transportation museum, a shuttle bus, a pavilion and a boardwalk. the park will also include a biking and walking path that connects with the walkway on the new eastern span of the bay bridge. for the first time, visitors will be able to bike or walk all the way from oakland to yerba buena island. gateway park will also connect with open space along the san francisco bay area water trail, which runs along the edge of san francisco bay. the park is joint effort be
