in the spring of the same school year we were able to get the program up and running at come door sloat, we have the president here but upon meeting with supervisor yee and olivia scanlan, we talked all the procedures we needed to put in place and i have a pretty big department and a lot of responsibilities so i selected the person most likely to succeed at this because if we're going to be talk about the elementary student and is teaching tlem the leadership of pedestrian safety, we have the best student advisory council in san francisco and over the years, these kids have stepped up so much, their maturity, leadership and the younger kids look up to them like you wouldn't believe, you know that, the seniors in high school are their gods, so i thought this was a great opportunity for sal to kind of lead this program, get it going in the schools and to engage our student leaders of the sac in this program, so to talk you through the specifics of the program, i would like to introduce sallow pez fereraz, to talk about the specifics of the program so sal. >> thank you, mr. truet it's a pl

they're the parents that are drooping off or other drivers just driving through have been at come door sloat, their habits were really awful and it took two tickets from police officers the first morning and it almost turned over night people started telling other people to calm down over here. maybe you hope their habits will not only calm down at that intersection but throughout. so, we need to figure out also to having ongoing funding for this. i'm committed to having the city contribute as much as possible. i'm hoping the school district can also contribute at some future point so we could see this as an ongoing program, not just like a pilot and then it disappears like many good things we do in the city. the richie's neighborhood, i'm still very committed to find the funding to get it built for san francisco. i think the things that children can learn from it is just tremendous. i mean, when i saw them doing -- it's one thing to look at a news clip or for someone to talk about it but when you're in there, when the kids are there and see the excitement and how they're sort of absorbing e
