a couple of thunderstorms developing now to the west of dover and smyrna. all of that activity is pushing off to the northeast at about 20-25 miles per hour. so the heaviest rain will occur during the morning hours, and by afternoon it begins to ease up a little bit. it's going to be gray and gloomy out there, but we won't be talking about that driving rain which makes it unbearable at times. somewhat of a break now an here comes the next batch of heavier rains which will push through let's say interior sections of south jersey within the next hour or two. we have a couple of flood advisories. this one right here is in effect until 10:00 a.m. and this box right here, which includes the immediate philadelphia area, that advisory is in effect until noon. both areas have picked up a good 1-2 inches of rain with more rain on the way. we're starting to see the minor flooding now in those low-lying areas and areas of poor drainage. along with the heavy rains, visibility has been reduced in some locations. 1.5 in philadelphia, 4 miles in trenton and only .8 mile i
