going to focus on the north bay because we've had a couple of strikes of lightning, both in marine in sonoma counties. zoom in on this spot right here. and you can actually see that we do have this heavy pocket of rain sitting just west of novato. this is resulting in a lot of rain in a short period of time as well as some cloud to ground lightning up in the north bay. this is what we're going to start to see for the rest of the morning. is these pockets of heavy rain starting to reduce a little convection, which does build thunderstorm. so watch for that. don't be surprised if you hear a few rolls of thunder. also some heavy rain right around pacifica right now. the showers are all moving inland. and you're also seeing some of that right along the from crockett, the layover, martinez in benicia and up into the mountains just above oakland, a pocket there, widespread moderate rainfall stretching from san jose to morgan hill. most of this moisture plume is advancing southward, but still plenty of peripheral bands that are making their way into the north of that better still impacting the bay
