that everything turns itself out because there is not particularly a firefight in this portion of sonoma county. the vast majority of the flames are burning on the other side of the mountain in napa county but in the meantime, as a result of evacuation orders, there are 63,000 people or more displaced and evacuation centers, they have fled from the flames and as a result of that, schools are also out for these fires because even with distance learning, evacuating and picking up and moving out, it does not really lend itself well to learning. here is a list of the schools that are closed, bennett valley union school district, kenwood school district, no distance learning, rincon valley union high school district, no district learning there either and also santa rosa city schools are closed, the 29th and 30th, and sonoma valley unified school district is also closed. all of these schools are closed mostly just for today but potentially some of them for tomorrow and however this firefight ultimately ends up developing, it could make for more than that. we drop in here today and i can tell you we s

this is map that gives you a real perspective on where this fire is burning on the sonoma county side of the fire because of fires straddling both napa and sonoma counties so this is the burn area in red or the evacuation area excuse me the evacuation area in red and this is the warning area we talked about on highway 12 as well as a warning area on the north side up north of us of santa rosa, but as you get dark dark into the heat of the center of this fire zone you can see just how widespread the fire is burning. these are all hot spots thermal hot spots that are picked up by satellite. then we move over to the napa side to show you. the warning and evacuation areas there in this case in napa county they have blue to indicate mandatory evacuation orders and this is lena right here both sides of that community are under a mandatory warning you see just how close these little hot spots are to the town of saint. course we're all familiar with that place and just how significant that is and then we move up the valley toward calistoga we get another sense of just how bad the fire situati
