this is santa clara street between 21st -- south 21st and south 24th. traffic still closed in one direction. if you look far behind me, you can see the orange cones the investigators have out here on the scene. they are trying to figure out how it is that this crash happened. still debris on the roadway, and we also see some tarps. we do know two people died. we're getting reports that a third may have succumb to injuries. we know two other people were transported to the hospital in pretty bad shape. witnesses out here told crews last night it appeared it was a street race, and i can tell you that driving down just one block over, we saw plenty of skid marks. so we know this is a night flat spot where people could gain quite a bit of speed if they were inclined to do some street racing. we are waiting for the spokesperson for the san jose police department to arrive out here on scene. we know the traffic investigators have been out here investigating since this crash happened around 11:00 last night. we are working to get more details for you. we're goi
