elsewhere we're seeing light, spotty showers moving through the east bay, as well as the south bay, while the north bay is not seeing much action right now. this is all happening within the past 30 to 40 minutes and we could see more rain as we go into the evening, even as we take a look at what's happening with the wider view. but just a hit or miss showers are what we're expecting as we go into the 1:00 to 2:00 hour. the evening commute may be dry, but we are still looking at this system kind of just spinning across the region. we did get decent rainfall totals, we'll get a look at that and what's ahead with the next storm system in a few minutes. >> thank you. >>> you know a lot of people are struggling to make it in the bay and south bay residents are pushing for more people to learn about a new action for housing options. they asked leaders in cupertino to settle on a new housing plan. they're concerned about the new state policy that would lead to a big change in new housing developments are approved in cupertino. they say if leaders cannot get on the same page by next february, the

definitely the most active, the south bay. t think that you're in the clear if you're in the north bay, just because futurecast isn't showing it. we do have that potential of isolated thunderstorms popping up anywhere in the bay area later on projections for rainfall total staying pretty light for most areas, anywhere from a 10th 2 quarter of an inch. some of us will go through the day without seeing anything at all. but others seeing some of that rain. as for temps, it's 50's and san francisco and at the coast and the rest of the bay area splitting a range of 50's to low 60's. today is a lot like yesterday as far as what it feels like, you'll get some of that sunshine. it's also going to be a bit breezy making for a brisk feel to these upper 50's to low 60's. so even with that sun, you've got to make sure that you keep the jackets with you. today is a day for layers as this happens this time of year, especially as we move into these cooler fall months. petaluma out right at 60 degrees for your high today. tomorrow's temperatur

better chances of rain in the south bay as well as the east bay. now, as far as the sierra goes, winter storm warning still in effect. pretty easy to see why after that story we just showed you 50 80 arbel snow-packed but open. if you are heading up there today. now temperatures today in the 50's in san francisco and at the coast, it will be a range of 50's and 60's elsewhere. millbrae a 59 burlingame. 61 saying carlos also at 61 today, south bay temps, same range of numbers, upper 50's to low 60's depending on where you're at hayward. a nice but cool. 57 oakland, 59, as you can got to be bringing those jackets as you're heading out there and like a warren jeffs, make sure it's a rain jacket who has today. we're not out of the woods as far as the chance of rain goes tomorrow on friday, though, don't have to worry about the rain jackets for a few days. saturday morning. you're good as well. but saturday night we see showers likely returning and hang out with us into sunday morning sunday. you also got to make sure to adjust those clocks. i do it sat

pockets of yellow and orange stretching especially across the south bay. but across the east bay, too. let's zoom in first on the south bay because we have some very heavy rainfall in the vicinity of san jose right now. what that's doing for us will 85 to 80 101. as well as 6.80. all of these routes very, very waterlogged. and we do have that potential of standing water on roadways, rainfall, intensity out there. definitely definitely really high a san jose right now. rainfall intensity 2, 3, quarters of an inch per hour. there. that is a lot of rain coming down in a very short period of time. let's go a little bit further northward from fremont to seminole over to pleasanton some pretty good rainfall, intensity as well. not quite as heavy as down in san jose, though, oakland down through seeing the injured to hayward. also coming down very, very conquered one of our heavier pockets right now, a concord over martinez and a little bit further east out towards bay point. also looking at some really pretty good rainfall coming down right over from the late hoe

har highways are flooded across the bay area, south bay, east bay all over starting at 2, 80 85 and 87 southbound at west taylor street. you have flooding so they've shut down the lanes right there along 17. you've got issues as well. if you're traveling along 8.80, through hayward flooding is an issue specially 84 eastbound and westbound right at ardenwood boulevard in newark. we've got to shut down the lanes there because of flooding this morning. if you're traveling along 6.80, accident and delays to pleasanton. 85 this morning, definitely slow our bridges. while the rays in coming down as hard as it was in the early morning hours. they're all slick and wet to drive times. 35 minutes mace that fremont street exit san mateo bridge. but you had about 30 minutes. a 80 to 101, you're richmond center fell bridge about 13 minutes tolls to 101, and the golden gate bridge around. 41 minutes. one more hot spot to show you in san mateo county. 92 eastbound and westbound west of lower skyline boulevard lanes are closed because of a downed tree. there. so you certainly have a busy morning. leav

so especially for the south bay lower end of the peninsula in south end of the east bay. this is where we're going to see our highest likelihood of rain spots of showers and afternoon thunderstorms too. generally the further north you go, the less the chance of thunderstorms becomes. but we all have potential for today. so don't be surprised if you hear roll of thunder or see a brief shower rolling over head. some of us could see around 10th of an inch of rain. others won't see anything at all. as for daytime highs today ranges from the 50's to 60's. very similar to where we were yesterday. hayward in mountain view at 57 san jose. 58 a few low 60's in concord and nevado. here's a look ahead to tomorrow's temps around the same as today. we will be looking at a nice one out there for thursday and friday, consistently dry on both of these days. no chance of rainfall to end the week. it won't be until saturday night that we see our next chance of rain and into sunday morning. of course, don't forget to adjust those clocks before you go to bed saturday night and even into next
