my name is katie in buying the president of the south beach rubicon bay neighborhood association. i am a former board member and a p formersac -- a form3er psac member. i found my neighbor lying dead in my intersection of main and harrison. since that time seven years ago, many of us have been trying to get improvements it is used as an on ramp to the bay bridge. people speak up. if they are not beating, they are stuck in a traffic jam in the crosswalks, making it even worse for pedestrians to cross. that is an intersection i personally want to point out to you. in addition, there are two whether intersections -- two other intersections. first and folsom and first and essex. there is a whole new population to the area, which was already dangerous in the first place. let's make folsom two ways. south of market in general, it was built as an industrial area for big rigs to drop-off and pick-up goods. that has changed. the population has gone from almost 12,000 to over 40,000 people. a lot of this -- a lot of us make south of market our home. it is no longer an industrial area. we mu

. ♪ >> reporter: in south beach's pulsating nightclubs where the beautiful people party well into the and sometimes the continuous flow of liquor leads to something else, the so-called b girls hunted in pairs, say investigators. their targets, unsuspecting wealthy men. a russian-speaking mafia the fbi calls the organization stands accused of exploiting out of town businessmen, selling them wildly overpriced bottles of wine, champagne, vodka and the b girls would get the men to order drinks unaware they were ordering a $5,000 bottle of wine purchased for as little as $5. one businessman from philadelphia drank some wine with the females and then took a shot of vodka and became woozy. his recollection was of people holding him up at an unknown location and having him sign something three times. turns out, investigators say, he signed credit card billing totaling $43,000. in all, 88 men were snared in the scam, allegedly master minded by russian alex simchuck. he's now believed to be in latvia. >> in some respects it's creative. it's the old story of women, sex, liquor. >> reporter: john

moving away from the water, we'll warm up into the mid to low 70s across the south bay, even the beachuld hit the low 60s today after the fog burns off. we'll look for those low 70s through the delta. liver more, concord, antioch, pittsburgh all hitting low 70s today, moving back into the east bay hills. looks like upper 60s for the most part. as you would expect, slightly cooler right at the water. santa rosa also heading into the low 70s, as will napa. we'll continue the trend into tomorrow, maybe slightly cooler tomorrow, as mentioned, better chance of measurable rain showing up first thing monday morning. that will cool things off a bit. another weak system crossing the area midweek, also bringing with it a chance of light shower activity. overall, this is a classic spring pattern for the bay area. weather will continue mild with a chance of some intermittent sprinkles, but hardly a washout like last month. i think the pattern is finally broke and caught up with the season. so we'll be looking at more better weather. >> say that again. >> more better. >> i like the sunshine, so i'm
