into this a tornado watch up still for much of the state, including the baltimore region down in south maryland will run through 9:00 unless it's canceled ahead of schedule that is always a possibility. but you see multiple tornado warnings in south central south virginia, well south of the washington d.c. area. so it's one of the reasons that we're continuing to watch a warm front set up that can potentially lead to rotating storms and briefs spinoffs of tornadoes. this is the cluster that triggered this weather. this cell is we cannenning some but -- weakening some. but still packing a lot of lightning here. you see the lightning strikes up along the washington d.c. beltway that is just ugly. but you see this storm overspreading the western part of washington and montgomery county. and we put a storm track on one of these cells, you see it's not rotating. but they're stale hailer -- still hailers. so hail to three quarter an inch. and the storm realititively low. -- relatively low. but it still bears watching. check out some of the current conditions out there. 70 degrees and winds southeast

south maryland did pick up a couple of showers like down in camp springs outside andrews air force base. a couple showers crossing out of montgomery county and moving towards savage, laurel, parts of howard county. you may get a brief shower in here in short order. you're getting light drizzle. these are spotty showers, no question about that. most of the state not seeing a thing yet. but there's more rain to the south. temperature 71 now at the airport but upper 60s across the state. 66 in ocean city. dulles 69 and york, pennsylvania, 69. and the humidity levels moderate but with the temperatures where they are, not that noticeable. but the increased moisture in the air will help fuel the rain tonight and we think more numerous showers will be inbound as we head into today. you see the widespread rain breaking out over the carolinas and virginia and atlanta. that will continue to slowly move north. if you look at the broad picture, this is a large storm. the upper reaches of this thing is in upper new york state. so by the time the whole ball of wax gets out of here, we could be talkin
