south bay. this morning, san jose is laying the groundwork for significant restrictions on rv parking. city leaders say a new pilot program will help them clean up the streets, but not everybody agrees. abc seven news south bay reporter zach fuentes is live in san jose, with more on this new program. good morning zach, and good morning to you. >> so the pilot program is using new data to identify no parking zones. now, mayor matt mehan says this is about enforcing laws and keeping streets safe and clean. but critics think this could exacerbate the problem. now, city staff found that more than 900 oversize vehicles are likely occupied, and that information is then going to be used to identify which areas of the city are impacted most. then, starting in 2025, the city would establish ten permanent towaway zones and 30 temporary towaway zones. now, the city says the hope is that once the vehicles are cleared, the areas can be cleaned up. mayor mehan said that this is also about fairness to businesses and homeowners. unhoused advocates say more permanent solutions are needed for those livin

the garden is in the brush farm park on south king road.id it did not reach an agreement with the nonprofit on how the garden will be run. the president of the nonprofit foundation told the san jose spotlight that funds meant for the park were going to unrelated expenses, including consulting. the group filed a public records request that they say backed their claim. the nonprofit says they believe the city cut ties with them in retaliation. >> this decision not to move forward with an agreement with the brush farm park foundation has nothing to do with their records request. the records that we had provided in response to their information request show that all of the revenue is spent here at the park. >> the city says staff will maintain the community garden until they make long term plans. the san jose spotlight reports the group was served with an eviction notice and has to leave the park by november 18th. a suburb in los angeles county is being sued by the state for violating california's fair housing and anti-discrimination laws. the
