we're talking about southbound 17 before you get to hamilton. now, there is slowing on the approach, but traffic is very light around the south bay, it's friday. so coming down from 280, you don't slow until about halfway down to hamilton and then there's slowing, clear by the time you hit hamilton. there's winchester, you can stay clear until you get to hamilton. the cleanup will continue until about 6:30, about another half hour. the sououth bay shows an easy drive and so does the bay bridge and most of the rest of the bay. >>> antioch police are investigating a deadly double shooting. it happened a little before 9:00 last night on delta fair boulevard near turner elementary school. police say that's where a man and a woman were shot. the woman died at the scene and the man is now in the hospital with unknown injuries. the gunman is still on the loose. police do not believe this shooting was random, but they are not yet saying whether they have identified any possible suspects. >>> later today, high-powered turn john burris is expected to file

two of those men were thrown over the divide into the lanes of the southbound direction of 101, where they were both hit by another car. and a third person died in those northbound lanes. five more people were taken to the hospital. their condition is unknown. we do know the pickup driver survived but not clear if he or she was injured. chp says there's no indication that drugs or alcohol were involved. there were a total of six cars in this chain-reaction crash along northbound 101, plus the seventh car in the southbound direction. both directions were shut down for several hours to allow chp to do its investigation, to allow the wreckers to remove all seven vehicle, and to allow caltrans to temporarily fix the concrete divider. all lanes are back open. they opened by 9:00 this morning. chp says if you are in an accident and if your vehicle is drivable to move out of traffic and to the side of the road but also point out it's not clear if that was possible in this specific incident. reporting live in sunnyvale, bob redell, nbc bay area news. >> thank you, bob. so sad. >>> we want to
