we're back in southern california. we've been talking about how the wildfires have been burning out of control. this is in the san fernando valley. the camera is moving around quite a bit. take our word for it. in the area on the 405 in san fernando valley, you can see how traffic is. these are aerial shots, live. the smokes, the flames, if you know the area near the getty center, right in the heart of the san fernando valley, extremely densely populated sherman oaks, brentwood, mullholland drive, it is in the area of the wildfire that is spreading. i was talking -- i don't know if you can see. they have a fire fighting helicopter up. that is good to see. they need that. and steve paulson has been talking about the air quality, the winds in the area as well. it is a very, very fluid situation down there in los angeles. >> and certainly with this situation, steve can chime in here, winds are the story. very, very low humidity is a factor. >> 8% for some. 8% by the getty. the winds are not as bad but i'm seeing 54 miles

and points south into parts of southern maryland. the snow will be tapering out by 3:00 in the shenandoah valley. 6:00 or 7:00, chances of snow ramp down. by 10:00 or 11:00 tonight, everything will be done. how much snow? this is the computer forecast. it brings the first inch toen a inch and a half on the ground around 1:00 or 2:00. this particular computer model is giving us around two inches of snow. with temperatures above freezing, this is going to be a razor thin margin between one and four inches of snow. it'll be temperature dependent. here's our storm team 4 forecast. most of the i-95 corridor is going to be in the two to four inch range, mainly on grassy areas. but there could be a boom potential down from waldorf, through charles county, southern maryland. those places could get four to maybe -- if everything sets up just right -- as much as eight inches. the trick is, there is a lot more bust potential in southern maryland because the rain/snow line may try to push back by the afternoon. this will be a tricky forecast for
