in southern delaware extreme south jersey. there could be some flakes even back to the philadelphia area but we don't think there's going to be that much. then it moves out by thursday afternoon. so this is a thursday morning thing. it could affect the morning rush especially down near the beaches for a chance of 2 inches or more. obviously, the highest chance is to the south. there's a medium to high chance. that means it's more likely we're going to get 2 inches or more there than not. so at least 2 inches is the preliminary estimate down here. a low chance as we head closer to the philadelphia and northern dell. so we'll continue to update that. just the slightest change in the track of that storm could mean a big difference in who gets what. tonight, partly cloudy, very cold. 18 for a low in philadelphia. 8 north and west. but at least it's not 8 below zero. sunny. not as frigid tomorrow. actually above freezing. a little bit of a breeze making it feel colder. south and east on thursday the bitter cold continues friday and

gloucester and salem county you can see light snow falling in southern new castle county in delaware. but it doesn't take much snow on top of the ice to create very slippery conditions. and that is freezing rain. very light in southern kent county and new castle and sussex county in southern delaware where we are seeing the accumulation into cape may county right now. temperatures are solidly in the 20s. the hour by hour future weather shows wet weather coming to an end during the morning hours. and by 10:00 this morning, we're still looking at frozen conditions in philadelphia. but that changes as we get breaks of sunshine and wind up in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees this afternoon. the ice is on the ground. it will start to melt. but it's going to take some time before the slippery conditions ease. so a slippery morning. mostly cloudy with late day sunshine and a breeze that will make it feel colder than the actual temperature. it will be close to 40 degrees today. tomorrow, we'll start off cold. 24 degrees. but sunshine is back in the upper 30s tomorrow. a little bit of light sn

central and southern delaware and into cape may county look for some ice. on top of the ice that has already fallen in new castle county and into salem county, a little bit of light snow, very light stuff. this is the last bit of this system that started with us yesterday. we'll see that drying out during the morning hours and the rest of the area is already drying out. then our attention is going to turn to thursday when we could be in for some light snow during the late morning and early afternoon hours. looks pretty impressive there. it will probably amount to less than an inch but the big news is what happens to be behind that snow. that's when the cold starts pouring in to the area. for today, it won't be bad, the upper 30s to near 40 degrees this afternoon with winds 10 to 20 miles an hour. and the weekend, saturday is a whole lot better than sunday temperaturewise. we could see snow come through saturday afternoon and a bitter blast of cold air. morning low temperatures in the single digits with a high temperature to struggle to get to 18 degrees sun

here is a widespread pattern of precipitation down in central delaware and southern new jersey, it's mostly snow and a little bit of wet snow mixing in joernl wise, so far temperatures are so far above freezing this is just a nuisance would i slow it down if are you on the road and see a heavier batch of snow developing. cloud cover is aplenty, and out to the west you see additional snow showers, a concern about the additional snow showers that come in later because unlike these temperatures across the region are well above freezing, we may get over 40 a tic or two in the late afternoon hours off to the north and west the winds are starting to come down from the northwest. in philadelphia it's from the west for now but one they pull the colder air from the northwest, temperatures drop this afternoon and any snow shower that develops could have a greater impact. 42 is the forecast high and temperatures will drop through the afternoon by the dinner hour we'll probably be around 30 degrees and then all the way to 12 in the overnight hours. aside from the possibility of snow showers, sar
