southwestern tip late today. a developing story overnight -- one person is dead after being hit by multiple cars. it happened on highway 218 in the iowa state patrol says the cars were driving northbound on the highway when they hit the victim. his name has not been released. one person is in critical condition after being hit by a car in cedar falls. police say it happened early saturday morning on highway 57 at roosevelt street. police arrested michael kelly -- he's accused of driving drunk and hitting tristin selby. selby is at u-i-h-c in critical -- but stable condition. after his pick-up truck is hit by a train. the linn county sheriff's office says a 44-year-old from marion was driving on arabian road near the candaian national railroad tracks, they say the driver went into the path where it was hit by a driver died. his name has not been released. a 29-year-old woman is found rivers-- unresponsive. no arrests have been made. d-c-i is helping with the investigation. one person is injured after being slashed by a knife. iowa city police say it happened near the intersection of iowa avenue and dodge street early sunday morning. th
