stan bush in colorado springs tonight. earlier polls gave hillary clinton a pretty sizable lead here but trump still has a shot. >> reporter: jim, those toss-up polls make colorado seem more necessary for trump's path to the white house. impassioned with some red meat for supporters endorsements for republicans up and down the ticket, and also claims that the election is an uphill battle for republicans. speaking in the most conservative part of colorado, mike pence told supporters to ignore current headlines about the campaign. >> have to turn on the tv this morning with a stick. i don't even know -- are you with me on that? i don't even know what's going to be there any given day. >> reporter: donald trump has sparked outrage saying the election may be rigged if he loses. governor pence continues to defend that claim. >> do you agree with that? >> i think when you look at the overwhelming bias of many of the national media not the local media, but the national media, it's clear that hillary clinton has a lot of support.
