you guys have been talking about the staten island ferry. new overnight service you do have half hourly service now instead of just hourly. everything as far as the ferries go all running on or close to schedule. we'll take a live look outside at the bqe. it's moving along at the speed limit. normally this is already jammed up. despite the construction, it doesn't seem to be causing a problem today. good thursday morning commute. >> all right. sounds fantastic. out on the roads as well, mayor de blasio helping and overnight department of transportation crew pave some roads on staten island. these photos were taken in the pothole ridden stretch of arthur kill road. part of a city wide project back in may. the mayor announced he was allocating more than $240 million in the budget to pave 500 additional miles of roads over the next two years. >>> starting today, if you're riding on amtrak, you may have to pay baggage fees. bags on board for free. you're allowed two carry-ons weighing up to 50 pounds each and two personal items up to 100 pounds.
