my name is mike del rosario, legislative aide to supervisor catherine stefani. and i'm here on her behalf to present this item. the ordinance before you will support a meaningful project in district two, in the anza vista neighborhood. the vicha ratanapakdee mosaic stairway. this ordinance amends the public works code to waive major encroachment permit fees for the installation and maintenance of mosaic tiles on the vicha ratanapakdee way stairs located in the anza vista neighborhood between o'farrell street and terra anza avenue. it also amends the planning code to waive the general plan referral fee related to this encroachment permit. mr. vicha ratanapakdee, an 84 year old thai immigrant, was tragically killed in a senseless act of violence in 2021. the stairway project represents a community driven effort led by the justice for vicha ratanapakdee foundation, in collaboration with renowned mosaic artist sarah siskind and tdy from ratana beyonce. this installation will not only beautify the neighborhood, but will also serve as a symbol of peace, a value that w
