steve: donald trump is what? rep. green: he's a different person compared to either president bush or president clinton. he grew up in wealth. money to be able to be a developer in new york. he's never had to deal with a order of directors because he's always owned the company, he and his family. he makes the decisions. that's not what an american presidency is about. your leader you have 100 u.s. senators and 435 representatives as your board of directors. is difficult for him to understand that. we're still in a learning process. steve: how is gene green repairing for retirement? rep. green: if i had known i have to pack up everything over the last 46 years, i may not have retired. when i left the legislature to come to congress, i stuffed all that stuff in a closet. now i'm having to find it and get here in washington. i did not know we had a storage room in the building until i decided i wasn't running. they said you need to look at our storage room. staff -- the last 26 years, the staff has put things in their i

steve: what is next? senator flake: i plan to stay but aftercertainly, 18 years it is time for a little break, while the fever cools. so i get reacquainted with my friends and family that i have not spent enough time with. our youngest child, we put on a plane last week for a mormon mission. s, we are empty nester officially. my wife reminds me we did this backwards, we raised five kids during the past 18 years while i traveled back and forth. at it just says what wonderful woman she is, and what she did put up with during this time. there are sacrifices but there are a lot of advantages that come as well. we have been very blessed. steve: your faith is very important. senator flake: it is. steve: one final question because you were in new hampshire. are you thinking about running for president? senator flake: every senator thinks of that. not very seriously, i am one of those, having said that i hope -- one of those. having said that i hope that , someone does run in the primary against the president. i

steve: go ahead. ainsley: thank you, steve.laborate? why are they so upset? >> i think there are two reasons i think there are folks watch entire process. they think judge kavanaugh was not treated fairly. the there are folks that watched the whole process and think dr. ford and debbie ramirez were not scene seriesly. they are folks worried about the message it ses to our country and the world when we have senators yelling at each other, accusing each other and challenging each other's motives. it seems we're going to be in a period where nomination in the supreme court pass by 51-49, rather than by 60, 70, 80 votes. the senate is the saucer that cools the hot tea of the house in the vision of founders. >> used to be. >> this is broken institution. we have to find ways to respect each other and work together again. brian: something on bipartisan level. i don't like you mentioned two things, maybe new nafta gets votes on both sides. certainly seems promising. senator, lastly, do you believe this brett kavanaugh will be confirmed

steve: busy, busy.ing of midterms, democrats have to figure out some sort of an answer to this message. see this caravan coming towards us, that's because democrats will not work with republicans in fixing our immigration status. the democrats haven't said anything about that. the top ones, because they want to remain focused, laser like on healthcare. that's what they think is a winning issue. at the same time, you see those thousands of people heading our way. what are the democrats going to say? brian: do you remember when the oil was leaking in texas and both republicans and democrats were calling on barack obama to do something? i thought we would rally around to stop this caravan on democrats and republicans the same way. i just don't see how it is in our national interest to allow 7,000 people to storm our border. why would anybody be high fiving that situation. ainsley: it's a lose, lose for democrats. if they talk about it stats and polls have showed don't mention open borders and talk about it
