nbc 10 first alert meteorologist steve sosna shows us what's next, including that big jump in temperatures. >> that's right. that is coming our way next week. but for tonight we're continuing the first alert and the reason why, the snow is over but the leftover snow and slush, especially your secondary roadways, neighborhood cul-de-sacs, places like these, will still be slippery and trech rules overnight tonight. any of the sidewalk that haven't been shovelled. if you're not in good health and you've got 5, 6 inches of snow, don't shovel the show on your own. this is heart attack snow, so heavy, wet, and soppy, it's hard to remove. it clogs up your snow blower, it's a big pain. we'll start melting tomorrow. if you only have a little bit of snow, the sun will melt it off. we also have snow totals on our digital content places like the website and the app. a live look at center city. the pavement is just wet here. not a lot fell in center city per se. but just around the edges, we did see some of that snowfall accumulate. even in south philadelphia. i-95 was a real mess there for about two h

nbc 10 first alert meteorologist steve sosna joins us now.flooding, and a drastic variation in temperatures? >> yeah, it's going to be a crazy day tomorrow, denise. some areas may get close to 70 degrees in the afternoon. and other spots not getting out of the 30s. i'll breakdown which locations have that balmy weather and which locations stick with the chill. along with those crazy temperatures comes a pretty wild storm coming at us. we've issued a first alert for philadelphia, the suburbs, south jersey, northern delaware. we're expecting heavy rainfall midnight through 5:00 p.m. on sunday. it won't be raining this entire time, but there will be some rounds of heavier rain working through here. then there will be some pauses. when the rain moves through you'll know it, you'll hear it on the roof, producing 2 to 4 inches of rain and maybe more. this is a very juicy setup, if you will, for heavy rain and even some potential thunderstorms. the threat for flooding certainly there. but problem number one is the fog that we have out there tonight.

meteorologist steve sosna has more on that. >> you were just in minnesota so you how to dress for it. but for our philadelphian, we need to take into consideration the amount of time you'll be out in that cold. here are the windchills off to the west. feels like 11 in pittsburgh. 14 in columbus. this air is making a bee line right towards us. we're having the largest outdoor event in philadelphia going on here tomorrow. the wind speeds here tonight will be great. when you head out to the train station tomorrow or are waiting for the bus or just walking in center city, wind gusts of 20 miles per hour, you have to remember, the temperature is going to be in the middle 20s. it's going to feel like the teens. so just a little bit of wind is insult to injury in this kind of situation. and then eventually see the winds start to relax. let's break down the forecast for you. many of you will be getting out there before 11:00 a.m. temperature in the mid-20s. windchills stay steady here. upper teens to low 20s. you'll need the layers tomorrow. this is my survival guide here to being outdoors fo
