because she filed a lawsuit against the company and steve wynn a few years ago to try to get out of aorce settlement she has with steve wynn, so she would be able to sell more shares if she wanted to. she owns about 9% to 10% of the company. she staged a fierce proxy fight. it was amazing, the letter going back and forth to shareholders, at such a point that institutional shareholder services said don't vote for any of these people. but the two current board members put up by the board, ted vertu and jay hagenbach have been re-elected the elaine wynn has not. the for the rank and file, individual shareholders, many of them supported elaine wynn, they feel she's the only person on the board who could make steve wynn do anything. they have lost out. that was her argument. she also pointed out she was the only woman on the board. and the board of directors has promised that by the end of the year, it will add a board member who is not a white male. that's the latest from now, elaine wynn loses. back to you. >> jane wells, thanks so much. >>> we have a conference call every morning ahead

steve wynn's stack of chips taking a hit since the company reported results this week. eunice got the chance to speak to him in an exclusive interview and joins us now live from las vegas. >> hey guys well steve wynn is facing a lot of challenges. the only place in china where casino gambling is legal and the company and country in years has put in place an anticorruption and austerity drive which effected the entire casino industry including wynn's results. he told me he doesn't know how long the uncertainty is going to last. >> china is in a state of change. they determined the change was necessary. hard to argue with that if you pay attention and read why there's change. what the long-term implications of it i think are very uncertain and people relax and go about their lives. is it more dramatic change? i don't have a reason to believe that at the moment. >> in addition wynn said he is managing his expectations for a recovery in las vegas especially heading into an election year. >> i don't look for healthy growth in 15 in las vegas. perhaps for 16. plain when we ha

steve wynn cutting the company's dividend. dan nathan? >> this was a bit unexpected.hink the violence of the move to the down side, lvs reported i think it was down at bun point 5% after disappointing results that were expected then it closed down 2% at the day. so wynn gets 70% of their sales from macau. macau is a just flat out disaster but that was known. so the magnitude of the move is surprising. i will tell you this, though, the stock is going back to 100. and just like it overshot on the upside in 2014 to $250, it has the very strong likelihood to do so on the down side here. so i think if you were a bottom fisher and you think the thing is really oversold, a lot of short interest, i think you use a hard 100 stop to the down side if you take a shot. >> with the dividend coming prior, the dividend yield had been almost 5% and some analysts were saying maybe a dividend cut will be coming so that combined with this big flush to the down side, that could be -- >> obviously it's the one being killed the most. las vegas is down 9% year to date. the investors -- the i
