this morning nbc affiliate kfor reports that the local chapter has hired high profile attorney steven jones represented timothy mcveigh in the oklahoma city bombing trial. jones told kfor the group is outraged over the university president shutting down the fraternity house and branding members as bigots. he said the two students apologized that they lacked judgment in a social setting but that the entire fraternity should not be tarred and feathered as racist. some legal experts questioned whether the expulsions violated free speech laws. >> under american law they have a first amendment right to express even repulsive points of view as long as they are not threatening a specific person. >> on wednesday the local chapter's board released a statement calling the racist behavior a horrible cancer that entered the house three or four years ago. the national organization says it has not verified reports of the racist chant used beyond ou but is investigating allegations of racism at louisiana tech university. thursday at ou instead of practice the football team held a silent protest, black and
