bay area crews are out here, crews from sunnyvale, los altos and san francisco. in fact, all these engines you see lined up behind us are from the south bay. this fire again is burning out of control. it may be a long way from the bay area. but it is impacting our region in a very big way. the fire has burned about 144,000 acres so far. among the loss, as you mentioned, the berkeley tuolumne family camped, owned and operated by the city of berkeley since 1992. you're looking at pictures of that camp. it burned yesterday. firefighters tell me they just could not save it as hard as they tried. also camp towongo headquartered in san francisco has lost one building. the staff sent one person to the camp to retrieve the torah. also a very big concern for the bay area is the hetch hetchy reservoir which complies water and power to the bay area. two hydroelectric plants we understand have been damaged. so far service has not been impacted. again, crews are here from all over the state and all over the bay area. i'll tell you that the folks who live in this area really a
