so susan candiotti is live in newark. what else do we know about her behavior the night before her death? >> hi, zoraida. no other way to describe it, these are certainly disturbing and sad details about the final hours and days of her life, before she was found dead in that beverly hilton hotel bathtub on saturday. what we are hearing from a source briefed on her behavior is that she was drinking and drinking a lot. as early as 10:00 in the morning on wednesday and thursday. seen in the pool and the lobby area of the hotel ordering these drinks, jumping in and out of the pool, even doing somersaults, that's what people are saying. as you indicated, complaining that her drinks had been watered down, that there was too much ice in them. now she was described as being alone at some times, other times with members of her entourage and still others, with a male companion. and then there's the additional information about her drinking again on saturday morning, again in that pool area. so all of this in combination with what c

susan candiotti is live for us. this will be something a lot of people wanted to take part in, it's on tv, yes, which helps people to see it, but the police there have gone to great lengths to keep people as far away from that church as possible. >> they sure have. in fact, some of those measures are already under way. we're noticing ha overnight and this morning, some of the streets around the church have already been blocked off. and probably with good reason because of security concerns and privacy reasons as well. you know, arguably, fewer people love her, most people from her own town may love her more than anyone else and why they keep coming by the church here to leave behind mementos and balloons and flowers, but they might not be able to do that much longer because of the perimeter, two to four blocks around the church, that will be put into place very soon. that's why police are saying this to any fans who want to get close to the church. >> the best thing to do would be to stay home and watch the service

susan candiotti has more on this.while to piece together, so what do you know? >> reporter: absolutely, richelle. it's strange and in many ways sad, too. what you have is a father, in this case a son of robert f. kennedy facing criminal misdemeanor charges after trying to take his newborn baby from a maternity ward outside for some fresh air. this is a family photo just given to us by a kennedy spokesperson. according to court documents, the baby was almost 3 days old when this happened last month. douglas kennedy was visiting his wife recovering from a c-section. he was holding his baby boy swaddled in a blanket and cap. nurses told him he needed permission to leave the maternity ward. his lawyer says trouble started when another nurse told kennedy he could not go outside. in sworn depositions to police, the nurses said they talked kennedy out of an elevator, but then he headed into a stairwell with the baby. a nurse tried to stop him from leaving. here is the nurses' attorney. >> this particular father grabbed her w

earlier cnn's susan candiotti told me how it went down. >> reporter: well, the question is, was he defending his rights as a parent and protecting his child or refusing to follow a nurse's order? douglas kennedy was visiting his wife molly in the maternity ward two days after his c section and said he wanted to take his baby outside for fresh air. it was about 7:30 on a saturday night last month. it was in a hospital in a new york city suburb. baby beau was swaddled in a blanket and cap. kennedy says some nurses were willing to let him go. but when others disagreed, things took a nasty turn. nurses convinced him to leave an elevator and took him to a stairwell and that's when things got physical. >> the father grabbed her wrist and arm and twisted it so severely she had tremendous pain in her arm. she then backed off with the other nurse standing right there. the gentleman proceeded to kick her so hard with so much violence that she flew through the air and landed in the middle of the corridor. >> kennedy's lawyer says he was trying to protect baby beau and used a knee, not a foot to stop th
