susan li is keeping track of that story. susan? >> u.s. households are facing sticker shock when they go to the grocery store or choosing to eat out instead. that's because every major food and consumer company are hiking their prices. kraft heinz are warning prices for miracle whip and maxwell house coffee are going up this summer. kraft has raised prices 14% the past two years. same thing for oreo cookies and tyson foods. restaurant chains are doing the same. mcdonald's, shake shack and cracker barrel have said that higher meat prices means that they have to raise prices. the golden arches have upped their prices 8% this year. if you haven't noticed any sharp price increases, companies are getting you to pay the same but for less. shrinkflation is what it's called. look at this list of items that you're paying the same for but smaller amounts of. less toilet paper, chips and gatorade. all examples of shrinkflation. companies have to protect profits and they say inflation is at a 40-year high. if you are cooking yourself, you saw the bigg

good morning, susan li. >> good morning. start with treasury secretary janet yellen trying to calm recession fears by saying it is not inevitable but do the economists agree? >> it depends on how you read not bum numbers because a wall street journal economist put the probability of a recession at 44% and that's a high number because you only see that type of number when we're already in a recession or on the brink of one and that survey was only at 28% in april and it was less than 18% probability of a recession in january, so the economic outlook has really deteriorated pretty quickly, and also joining deutsche bank saying that a recession this year is probably more likely than not. now there are still bulls because i feel like it's the most bifurcated market i've seen in my lifetime. jpmorgan predicts that the s&p will rebound to 4,900 and the u.s. will avoid a recession and that's pretty lofty. 4,900 implies a 31% rally from today's levels can you believe that? goldman sachs says that we will only get a stock reversal wh

susan li with more on this. susan.rter for bitcoin in a decade, decade plus, down 60%. worst month since third quarter of 2011. banks and exchanges are halting withdrawals. we know crypto hedge funds are collapsing and liquidating assets. latest reports, ftx, one of the largest crypto exchanges, the funder of source, they passed on buying troubled lender celsius for $2 billion. goldman sachs is reportedly interested trying to raise funds. multibillion-dollar hedge fund three arrows, they have been ordered to start selling any remains assets to repay hundreds of millions of dollars of loans to crypto exchangeses like gem nye. the exchanges have lost 2/3 of their value and million wallets lost their millionaire status according to market cap. that is 75% wipeout ahead of billion dollars worth of bitcoin in them. only 26,000 still hold more than seven figures worth. you have to remember a lot of new investors bought bitcoin during the two-year rally. 13,000 new bitcoin buyers. analysts say a small number of bitcoin holder

susan li following all of that and what has been happening certainly on the crypto front besides.eil, you're looking at nasdaq for cryptocurrency prices. biggest loser companywise is at least microstrategy, which has become a bitcoin holding company. you've spoken to michael saylor. his software company gone all in for bitcoin last few years. microstrategy owns 129,000 bitcoins, they bought them at an average price of $45,000. so if you do the math, microstrategy is a billion dollars in losses and counting there on their bitcoin holdings. there are concerns, in terms how they will pay for an upcoming silvergate margin loan that tesla is going to lose at least nine figures on their 43,000 bitcoins. spent two billion dollars accumulating. jack doors sieve's block, as square, has 8,000 bitcoins. to them that is a loss of $40 million on paper at least. throw in the bitcoin miners, marathon, riot, crypto exchange, coinbase, largest corporate holders of bitcoin. would i argue elon musk is probably the most influential influencers out there. there are risks there, are numerous reports te
