suzanne kennedy, abc 7 news. back to you. jonathan: thank you very much. we are here at the capitol this morning which is where the pope made his first visit. this is the first time a pope is ever addressed congress. he made his way to the capital, spent some time with the speaker of the house, and then walked into the gallery. everybody was on their feet from both sides of the aisle. it was the longest standing ovation i can member, including state of the union's. he got down to business and started the speech. it was inspirational. he challenged lawmakers to do better and do more. if you could not make it inside, on the east long a giant television sets people could watch and listen to the pope. those are the hottest tickets in town. what a day it was on the west lawn of the capital today. more than 30,000 people watched on the big screens that it been removed. they watched intently and they waited for several hours for this historic speech as the holy father spoke to the joint eating of congress. -- meeting of congress. he spoke about economic equality,
