just about in the greater lake tahoe area. we've had a few snow flurries, but that is about it locally. we don't have any rain in the forecast tonight. nothing but the clear skies with the passage of the cold front that whipped through the bay area. wednesday and thursday with storms before that is well, but that pulled down a lot of colder air mess and by doing that and coupling up with the breeze, even though it's going to be 44 degrees at midnight in san francisco, and pretty much lining the bay well into oakland, emeryville and alameda with that breeze. it's going to feel a lot colder than that. and, of course, away from the bay of water. temperatures dip into the twenties tonight in santa rosa and qatari and in greenville as well as healdsburg . so we do have a freeze warning in effect until nine o'clock tomorrow morning for those north bay and terrier valleys. it'll be freezing and throughout the tri valley also morgen, he'll mid and high thirties around the bay and the co sign will have the full forecast. that's still c

and dog is back home with its owner after being rescued from lake tahoe. had been missing since last august. its owner was a traveling nurse who was in tahoe when the caldor fire moved through. she was forced to evacuate and the dog ran off. four months later he was found alive on the mountainside, covered in snow. >> so i followed the tracks and all of a sudden, i saw this dark shape underneath the tree. then he opened his eyes. i am pretty sure i screamed. and i had folks asking about south lake tahoe. i know that it is a holiday for some folks today. out there, you'll see high clouds at times. if you'll be enjoying the next three days in tahoe, you don't have to worry about any advisories, no wind advisories or winter storms. the weather will be pleasant in the 40s. which brings me to our sierra snow pack. we're expecting to stay dry but we've done pretty good now that we're seeing a break from the rain. we're going to get a dry pattern ahead. and as this dry pattern comes in, i'm taking it all the way through pretty much january 23rd. there say possibility that we'll see wind out of this heading into tuesday and wednesday but mainly for the higher elevations, that high pressure once again rolls in and that's going to keep us dry at least through the rest of january. looking at the long-range outlook models and it looks like february could be a day for better chances of rain. over the next seven days, a closer look. we'll stay in the 50s and 60s for inland areas. pretty good weather ahead. just a little cloud cover out there. back
